Default 150/200 Yamaha HPDI

Which motor do you think would work best for my boat ? I will ski/tube/kneeboard behind the boat, fish in protected waters and go offshore on the days permitting. It's a 21'5" 2007 Seaswirl Striper. Anybody know of any good deals at there local Yamaha dealers. I would like to get it in Washington. I'm willing to travel if the price is right. Might look into getting it shipped also. Not concerned with the waranty(US motors aren't covered in Canada) I would consider a used one with low hours.

Go for the 200. Some of the research I've seen is that the larger motor will actually get better fuel economy when loaded up, because it doesn't have to work as hard. They compared twin Yami's on a whaler 200's and then 225's and the 225's got beeter fuel economy because they could go same speed with less effort and/or fuel. I would think the same logic would apply.

There was a dealin in Bellingham Wa. advertising on E-bay for 2006 Yami 200's and the price was pretty good.

Good Luck

I agree, Go for the 200 HP. Less work for the motor, and more go if you need or want it. 150 is working all the time to do the same out put.
225 would still be better. IMHO
