Default Shaker report

Fish the mid-MC this afternoon. Just in time for the 2 inch rain storm. As I don't really know what I'm doing yet, we got a total of 6 and three to the boat. One was right at 40 inches :depressed: and the other two were less than that. Had one that did the zzzz...snap thing and one that I fought for a spell and then spit the hook, felt like a keeper size. Using last years smelt, thanks to freebies from TALONS, and gooped it all up with shrimp smelly jelly. Had a lot of fun as my wife finally figured out how to keep warm and she managed a couple of the fish. Saw quite a few boats and saw some keepers at the ramp. HAve a good Superbowl, I gotta work

Good report! We fished the channel in the rain on Wednesday. Saw a gillnetter taking out right as we were launching. He had some NICE gators in the bag Me, still in search of my first keeper...we ended up boating quite a few shakers and 7 that were between 38-41!! We almost had a keeper, measuring 41 7/8....CRAP!! Smelt seemed to be the hot ticket, but squid caught a few also! Hope to be out there next week again!!

Ditto for us today, shakers, but no keepers in the lower MC, all on smelt. 21 to the boat, several 38-40 A few heavy fish on for the three second head shake, darn mono
How about the rain this afternoon
