Sardine wrapped kfish

when you wrap a kfish or a flatfish with sardine fillets do you put the scales against the the body or out or is it person preferince.

I have all ways put the scales in next to the kwikfish , You can wrap several the night before you are going and put them in a plastic baggie on ice in a cooler . It is important to keep them on ice . You can all so put your favorite scent on them and let them soak all night .

However, if you'll be fishing in fairly heavy to heavy current, wrapping them with the scale side out will still provide the desired result. And, the sardine doesn't milk out or disenegrate as fast. You can recharge them between drifts by injecting a needle full of your favorite 'juice' between runs.

Then again, maybe this only works on the east side....

I use Atlas Miracle Thread to slice through the meat of the bait wrap. Skin next to the Flatfish/Kwikfish just holds long enough to allow for a great scent trail. The sliced meat slows the action of the lure and should be replaced every 45 minutes. Good fishing!
