Default Upper Willamette for Smallies

Hi: I am newer to Bass fishing, but my kids are interested after a trip to the snake this summer. Where is a good place on the upper willamette to fish for bass? What are good productive techniques? Live Worms, or plastic? Drop Shotting - Seems pretty productive, what do you think? Rigs - what lb. test, and what size rod? Any help would be great... thanks

try the mouth of the tulatin river, or the mouth of the mollala river. Both these rivers also hold good #'s of bass, and least a little way upstream of the willy.

Either place that you mentioned will be good . One of the best things that you can do is spend time on the water . You will learn something every time you go out . I have been fishing for 67 years and , i still am learning . Sometimes i will think of something that happened on a fishing trip that happened weeks ago and learn something new that didn't register on that trip. Put as much time on the water as you can , pay attenthion to what you are doing and how the fish reacted to what you were doing .
Good Luck and keep a tight line allway's .
