Re: how to remove oil stain from pavement?
Kittylitter works pretty well and will go deep into the agregate..
Then powerwash it.

I've had good luck with powdered laundry soap or dish soap. They are both designed to break up grease and oil.

Oil eater, available at Costco, works great, you can use it on clothes also.

Re: how to remove oil stain from pavement?
I've had good results with gas and laundry soap. A little gas to loosen the oil and then some laundry powder and enough gas to make a paste. Work it in with a brush and let it sit a few. Hose it off.

Just be aware that whatever you apply, then hose off, will make it's way into the stormwater system. Read the labels carefully, and look for something biodegradeable. Simple Green maybe?

Yes, Hydrochloric acid is highly reactive with Calcium carbonate, however it is not going to clean up in organic contamination.
Search for Microbes, enzymes, oil eaters concrete cleaners.
Oil eating critters that get into the porosity of the concrete and eat up the oil leaving only water and fatty acids as waste. Bio-friend-ly too.
Good luck.

carb cleaner or brake cleaner, but soak it up with rags. Use a good stiff brush to work it in.

Am I the only one who thinks that's a bit nitpicky? Hope it comes out for you.

I am thinking the same thing. You buyer has got to be spending a minimum of 100K. Jeez go buy them a bucket of spick and spam and they can use the leftovers to clean their laundry.

Re: how to remove oil stain from pavement?
At the Costco Gas Station we use a product called EXIMO. We are constantly cleaning up oil, tranny fluid, break fluid, etc. This stuff really seems to work well. About a 1/4 cup full is all you will need for a spot like yours.

I second the Oil Easter from Costco. I use this stuff for EVERYTHING now, it's the best cleaner I've ever found.
