Yaquina Bay AM radio brodcast off line

Starting Monday, 18 August, the Yaquina Bay AM 1610 radio transmission with the local Bar and weather reports will be off line. We have run into some problems with the AM radio bleeding into the New VHF high site microwave link to the new tower. The AM radio broadcast will be down for an undetermined period of time while we relocate the transmitter to a new location.

The alternative will be to contact the station at 541-265-5381 or listen to the VHF for the Marine Information Brodcasts. If you are looking for weather NOAA is operating on 1650 AM.

I apologize for the inconvenience and we will work quickly to get the AM transmitter relocated and back in operation. Thanks in advance for your patience.
