Default Fly Fishing for Tuna

I don't know how many of you guys check out the Salty Dogs forum, but some of you have been following my antics as I chase tuna with lighter and lighter gear.

It all came together Tuesday out of Depoe Bay, and I just wanted to share. I know that I'll never be the same.

That's pretty cool.

Were you guys dragging the flies, or did you cast to them? I think the ultimate would be to stop the boat on a school of jumpers, cast the fly out, and hook up a fish while stripping it in.

Those are some great shots Skein. Tuna on a fly is one of my "must do's" in life.

You know, if you ever hard time finding someone to chip in for gas and cast an extra rod... I'm sure I could help out a bit.

I'll tell you, I have several guys that I promised rides to, but this year the ocean has been uncooperative in the extreme. I'm soooo far behind in my promises it'll take next year just to catch up.

But keep buggin' me, or grab somebody else and DO IT! The raw power of these fish can't be described; it has to be felt first-hand. Wow!!!

Oh yeah, I check the the Dawgs, and was drooling on the keyboard when I read your post! Definitely on my fishing "to do" list.
