Default Ford...leveling kits and rear airbags....where?

I'd like to do a level kit and the rear airbags. Since it's an 05 F350 4x4 with the front coils, no more cheap add-a-leaf leveling kits. Les wants about $1000 for both installed together (no discount for doing both at the same time, darnit). I know there's gotta be lots cheaper places around....but cheap ain't everything, so I'm looking for the references as well.

Suggestions?

My Ford came with the load leveling option factory installed ... it cost more than the LS kit. It changes my ride height depending on expected suspension travel, based on feedback from the road surface. Computers, ya know!

If it were me....

I would purchase the leveler kit from any of the many locations on the internet, skyjacker 1 inch is $111. This is a very easy installation only requires to drop the axle from the frame. The airbags should not be over $400 depending on if you want an on board compressor or just the valves for filling at service stations. ounce again is a very easy installation. Invite a few good friends over and it wont take long.

I love schwabbies but their Stuff is WAY WAY OVERPRICED for installation.

IMO, purchase and do the install yourself. you are looking at maybe 3 hours of work!

Rear airbag...is that another term for a mother-in-law riding in the back seat? Don't know if I'd pay to have one of those installed in my back seat permanently, and I can see why Les Schwab wants so much to deal with them.

Kyle - I installed my airbags myself. Ride-rite (firestone) has a "no-drill" kit for some of the fords. Took me a few hours to do it. was not hard at all. I got mine at Oceanway RV and their price was as good as anyone I could fine. Talk to Jim and he can help you.

Don't know anyhting about the leveling kits. Other than looks, not sure why you'd want it.
