Default Tuna From Illwaco Anyone?

I am planning on chasing some Tuna next Thursday, Friday or Saturday out of Illwaco conditions permitting. Anyone interested in buddy boating? We could meet boats at Buoy 10 departing from Hammond also.... PM me if interested.

LT - PM Sent...

We too are trying to make next Saturday a go.... our check list is down to the weather gods cooperating . Our boat is moored in Ilwaco on the P dock. We'll confirm some details when it gets closer and the day can be called.

8knots,
Are you moored at Illwaco? If so, where and what boat? I will be down moored for a week starting the 23rd doing the salmon/tuna dance.

We stil plan to run on Saturday. We'll be in a 28' Albin, blue hull, white pilot house on P dock (slip 59 I believe).
Couple questions:
1. What channel on the VHF will everyone out of the CR be using?
2. What time is everyone departing? Meet at Buoy 10?
3. Best guest on where the Tuna water will be?

Heading down to Ilwaco on Friday afternoon to load up with fuel and gear. Can't wait!!!

I'm back on the fence for Sunday. May stay home and fish the river for fall nooks in PDX area. This pattern is almost exactly the same as last year.

Looks like it'll be pretty bumpy this weekend. Put yer dancing shoes on. About 4 knots of ebb tide at daylight (6) on Saturday on top of that. More N wind too, that isn't going to help the water situation at all. Looks like I might be fishing for red meat and flatfish Labor Day but we'll have to see what develops.

FRI...N WIND 15 TO 20 KT...RISING TO 20 TO 25 KT IN THE
AFTERNOON. WIND WAVES 4 FT...BUILDING TO 6 FT IN THE AFTERNOON.
NW SWELL 4 FT AT 6 SECONDS.
.FRI NIGHT...N WIND 20 TO 25 KT. WIND WAVES 6 FT. NW SWELL
3 FT. PATCHY FOG AFTER MIDNIGHT.
.SAT...N WIND 20 TO 25 KT. WIND WAVES 5 FT. NW SWELL 6 FT.
PATCHY FOG IN THE MORNING.
.SAT NIGHT...N WIND 20 TO 25 KT. WIND WAVES 5 FT...SUBSIDING TO
3 FT AFTER MIDNIGHT. NW SWELL 6 FT. PATCHY FOG AFTER MIDNIGHT.
.SUN...N WIND 15 TO 20 KT. WIND WAVES 4 FT. NW SWELL 7 FT.
.MON...N WIND 15 TO 20 KT. WIND WAVES 4 FT. NW SWELL 6 FT.
