One fish limit?
I was just wondering if any springer fisherman would be willing to go to a 1 fish limit if it guaranteed a full season of fishing. My opinion is that as long as nets are in the river we should get as many fish as we can catch, BUT I may be willing to go to a one fish limit if it means I can fish thru May in the CR.

Re: One fish limit?
Let me clarify that I am not in favor of a one fish limit either! Last year really sucked though when they shut our fishing down before the bulk of the run even got here. I guess that my point is that maybe instead of shutting the river completly down all of a sudden, they could scale back the limits to prolong the season. Otherwise we end up playing bumper boats in the Willy, Clack, Wind, Drano, etc. The biggest problem is we need to get rid of those **** nets!

Re: One fish limit?
Limit the commercials to one foot of net each and I would go with a one fish sport limit! Why does it seem the sportsmen are always making the biggest sacrifices?

Re: One fish limit?
I will go for that if the nets won't be in the river any more.

Re: One fish limit?
No way if I remember right last year on the last day of the net season the gill nets caught 1/3rd over their limit and then our season was cut off. I would think that it would be fair if their quota was cut 1/3rd to make up for last year.

Re: One fish limit?
Nope, fishing for one fish makes for a long boatride.
