Default salmon at CR

I just talked t a friend that was on a charter out of Illwaco and he said they ended up about 15 miles out and a lil south with only 1 coho for the boat

then just a few minutes ago another friend sent me a pic of a very nice chinook along with this info

caught him on a herring a double hook at 15-- 20 pulls north of boy 10 by the weather station in 240 feet of water we got 13 silvers between 8-15 lbs took ten hours of fishing nice one 49 1/2 lbs

both stated it was miserable water

I can E-mail the pic but I do not know how to post one here

thanks for the report. What was wrong with the water? The cr weather bouy shows 5 ft swell 1.5 wind waves. Does not sound too bad. I hope the fish show up this weekend since I'll be out there saturday.

I can't say why but maybe because they aren't salty enough
I know both these guys only get out 2 or 3 times a year and mostly with me on my boat but due to engine trouble with my boat they went on the charters
they do not know each other so all i can say is

Reel pleasure is out there by himself. 1 fish. Charters are really struggling. 320 feet of water.

On tuesdays tuna run we had icewater clear out to the halibut hole in the 52 degree range. Did not start climbing until we reach the 124.35 line.

We charterd the Advantage boat out of Westport,Wa. yesterday with 15 anglers. Started the day with 150 black seabass fast and ferious fishing, swithced over to salmon, got 1 nook about 20lbs and 4 coho were keeper size. Water was 5'swell no chop so it was ok. Not hot salmon fishing by any means. They mooch with a 4-6oz and cut plug herring. Had lots of fish follow the bait to the surface but they just didnt want to bite!
