Grizzly Unit

Went into BiMart and got my general archery deer and elk tags. The lady at the counter said that there was still leftover tags for the Private land Grizzly Unit. I see that it is Private land only. Is permission really hard to get down there because I thought that a lot of rifle hunters would have been all over that? Or is the Grizzly unit not very productive. Can someone fill me in.

I have limtied experience but it is very landlocked and very expensive down there you will need to be going now to knock on doors.

If you are Veteran, or better yet, a disabled Veteran, access is great. If you are not, you will need to pony up some $$$ to get in. I live in the Grizzly unit. I grew up around some of these farmers and ranchers. I know these people. I have to hunt public land. *SIGH*

Good elk numbers in there though....
