Re: Another Reloading ?
I use a blast from the old compresser and a wipe on the out side with a rag. I resize before tumbling, unless they are real cruddy then I do it before sizing. I also use a case cleaner made by Birchwood Casey, 2 OZ's in a quart of warm water, soak cases for 3 min. rinse with plenty of hot water and blow out the water inside the case with compressed air then heat with a hair dryer till dry inside and out. Works fine , brass comes out looking almost new, not as shiney as if tumbled.

Re: Another Reloading ?
I tumble my cases before resizing. After I tumble them, I simply wipe them down with a rag and tap them upside down to make sure there isn't a bunch of media packed in there. I also use a nylon brush to clean any media dust out of the neck before resizing. Good luck.

Re: Another Reloading ?
I resize first then tumble. after tumbling I run a nylon brush inside them to get the crud out and tap the case on the table to knock any extra crud out.

Re: Another Reloading ?
Alex, This is somewhat conterversial but, I run a bit of paint thinner in my media. Cleans the brass right up and no dust. Just run it outside, fire and fumes are the main concerns.
I clean my brass and then spray them with a mix of 99% IPA & lanoline (sheep oil) in a pump spray to lube the cases. I size and then re-tumble briefly in clean thinner/corn cob mix. I then pick the flash holes with a wire to clear them of media.....ready for case uniforming and/or primers.

Re: Another Reloading ?
I tumble then go through my resizing and trimming process. Like mentioned above important to tap each case upside down to make sure all the media is out and clean the necks good.

Re: Another Reloading ?
Enough to darken it, but not enough to clump.
It was a tip that was passed to me about 10yrs ago by a gun show vender that I bought all my media, brass stripper & polishing liquid from. He said I'd spent enough money with him and he would share a secret with me....... "You don't need all this stuff son, a little thinner in a 50/50 corn cob/walnut mix will do just fine."

Re: Another Reloading ?
Resize cases, chamfer necks inside and out, clean primer pockets and flash holes. Then I tumble. Clean out media from inside case and double check flash holes. Wipe off outside and prime with Lee hand tool. Charge powder and seat bullets. Thats the method I use. Air might work fine if you don't have water or oils in your lines to make your cases have freckles. You will still have to clean out the insides of the cases by tapping or some other way.
