Default Where would be a good place to start... Tuna!

I got a trip planned in a couple of days when this ocean calms down. The last three trips we have done really well trolling feathers and traps. This time however after putting a few in the box, the fly rods are coming out. Thanks to AndyCoho, he gave a couple of us all the motivation needed to get abused. I have taken tarpon in the 100 pound class on a fly where I grew up and I am really pumped for this.

For all you wise ones out there, where would be a good place to point the bow towards. 61, North of 61 about 8 miles, or further West towards Tuna Town? I sure hope this North blow doesn't push the fishy water further more offshore. I got 12 wt rods rigged, feathers, traps, and an itch that just won't go away

I am wondering the same thing. I am planning a monday run and can't decide where to head to.

Come on I know someone must have an idea.

Well, you know the normal drill.....look at the temp & color charts; they will tell you where to go.

Looks good 10 - 12 nm west of the chicken ranch (38 nm 242 deg mag from Newport)...basically the 125 line, between 30 & 40.

Or 45 01 x 124 55, 43 nm 285 mag from Newport, or 39 nm 272 mag from Depoe.

last good shot, the 61 area looks pretty pukey (off color)... might be some good clear green water at about 44 57 124 48.... or 45 06 X 124 45.
