Default Pets and Fleas

I am having a problem with the flea treatment(Frontline) my vet. sold me, he says that the stuff can be used even though my dog swims and get wet on a regular basis. Another vet. says not to let the dog get wet or swim 3 days prior to application, and not to let the dog get wet or swim the same amount of time after application. Any insight out there, I am trying to do what is best for the dog and myself.

That's the same stuff my mom uses on her dog. Her vet said the same thing, not to let the dog get wet 3 days prior and 3 days after. She hasn't had a problem with him getting fleas, then again her dog doesn't do much if any swimming. He has only had fleas once and that was before my mom started him on Frontline.

The oils in the dogs coat help to absorb the Frontline into the upper layer of their skin.
