Haven't been there recently but most of the latest reports on ifish have been pretty dismal. The water clarity has been getting worse every year due to the Tui Chub infestation. :depressed: You probably know that it's going to be treated with Rotenone this fall and hopefully will return to the Diamond Lake we remembered.... in a couple of years.

Here's one of the reports (7/23/06) from ifish community:

Got back from Diamond Lake about an hour ago, doubt very much if I will ever go again................does that tell you anything....they should change the name to "Slack Line Lake". If it hadn't for the great people and the views it would have been a wasted four days...........oh well at least no one got hurt. I did limit out on Tui Chubs, they aren't bad tasting once you get past the crunchy scales.

Maybe better to check out another lake this year, lyf.

Good luck! Dh.

we used to like to go there a lot. caught my limit many times there but the water clarity and the price of gas maybe we'll wait a while before going back.
guess i'll be looking for a new summer fishing spot.
