Default Did you leave a cooler in Newport?

While cleaning fish Sunday I was talking wtih the other guys there and when they left, reminded them they had left a cooler. I was told that it was Skein's cooler, that they had met him there for the first time a bit before I got there. They were sure it was Skein's, so of course I took it to give to him. Surprise!!! Skein says it's not his cooler, so I feel a bit awkeard since it's not mine either. I'll call the marina office to see if anyone has called re: a missing coooler, but am hoping I can find the owner here via this post. So, if you left a cooler at a fish cleaning station in Newport on Sunday, pm me with the particulars and we'll arrange to get it back to it's rightful owner. That'll make the owner, the cooler, and me happy!

Ron, I was there about that time also, but it's not mine. You might try a post in the ifish lost and found. I got a cooler back that I left in Depoe Bay. Salty Walty found it and posted in the L&F.

Got the cooler back and made a good friend...!!!

Im not sure about a cooler but I left my fillet knives there on the tourney day. they were sitting on the hose holder for at the old boat launch. I went back on sunday to check but they were gone.

Thanks Jerry, good suggestion, I'll do that.

I called the Port of Newport south Beach office and they haven't had any calls re: a lost cooler. left my name and contact number just in case, but wanted to bring this to the top again in hopes of returning the cooler to it's owner.

I think this is a lesson to all of us to put our name and contact # on each cooler. I do this with my crab floats and got a set back thanks to a nice beachcomber.
