O.K. i will be in Burley idaho for 3 months starting the 14th of august. Is there any decent general season hunting within an hour??? I am going to have lots of time.

general deer is good in idaho, and last time i looked there was still some south/east tags available for nonresidents

Kinda filthy with mule deer. Just gotta get a tag.

Waterfowl opportunies and some Pheasant around.

O have done all the research for getting a tag. I might buy a general antelope tag (Archery Only)And i might buy a General elk tag. Not sure yet. I will be home every other weekend. So the other weekend is 3 days so i can drive a little ways to hunt.

You won't have a tag, but if you have some time near the end of your stay take a little drive just south of Burly below the little burg of Oakley. If there has been any snow to speak of up on Targee, you will most likely see a mulie that will blow your mind. Pheasant hunting is pretty good in the Burley area as well. Start knocking on doors as soon as you get there.

B-RUN we are going to be working right out side oakley. I will keep my Camera at the ready. Driving south from Burley every day i should see some deer.
