Good Blacktail. Be sure and give us a report when you get home. We can't wait, just live too far to drive over until we hear it is hot.

Thanks

Took a drive along the lower cowlitz yesturday,no birds yet but the river is sure running high and ugly.Looks like some of the homeless had to abandened their make shift shantees and move to higher ground. Not sure how the high water will affect the smelt entering the river but if ya try it be careful, especialy if ya wade, she's over her banks and there is a nasty drop.

Still don't belive they're in yet,but I just had 9 seagulls give me a fly by over the house.I'm on the hill above carnival market about a mile from the Cowlitz I think I'll go take another looksy, about another week though I figure.I should put a few outa the freezer in my bucket first, and realy get the rumers started  I love this time of year, everytime I stop by the river with a net everyone slows down or stops to take a look.

I crossed the new bridge over the Cowlitz River in Kelso late Saturday afternoon (approx. 3:15pm). Cowlitz river was really high but didn't look too muddy. Didn't see a gull or dipper anywhere.
