Tuna fishermen needed for charter Wednesday Aug 2
I set up a trip with Alex on the Alika (Alika Charters out of Warrenton) for Wednesday, Aug. 2nd, and we're short several guys. It's a 42' sportfisher. He'll only take 6 people tuna fishing. He bleeds the fish and ices them down immediately-he told me they're sushi grade with the way he handles them. $195 a person for a 12 hour trip, with the boat leaving the dock at around 5 am Wednesday. If anybody else can go so we can get the full 6 people, please reply here, or call him at 503-735-9433 so I can keep this trip going! I only have one or two other guys going with me so far, so we need a couple others to fill out the seats.

I am in no way affiliated with him...I'm just a guy really wanting to go tuna fishing in the worst way, and we need a few more guys to fill out the boat on a short notice trip!!

Jason:
We have 43' Delta the Lady Dee out of Warrenton. We will be fishing for Tuna Aug 2. I have 9 people right now and could take a couple more if Alex can't take you. I have known Alex for 20+ years, not trying to step on any toes.
Thanks Gene

Jason, a good opportunity.
One detail - is this a rod & reel fishing trip, or using handlines?

Re: Tuna fishermen needed for charter Wednesday Aug 2
Thanks for the offer Gene but I'm looking for the fishing experience that only 6 people fishing provides, not 12...

Garyk
Alex typically runs 2 handlines but the rest are rods/reels.
His boat is very comfortable and he does a good job.

Re: Tuna fishermen needed for charter Wednesday Au
Jason
Hope you are having a GREAT trip today out on the mighty "blue" !!
I am anxiously awaiting your report. I have a buddy that is looking to book some seats on a charter around the 21st of August. I think he is looking for a day trip for himself and a buddy from back east somewhere.
I'll pass on any information to him that you care to share.
Thanks, and remember:

Re: Tuna fishermen needed for charter Wednesday Au
Couldn't come up with 6 guys, so we didn't go. Nobody off of here even called him, although one guy did jump on this thread and try to get a spot on a charter that already had 9 people on it  We only needed two more people and we would've been able to go. Alex decided that we should reschedule instead.

Re: Tuna fishermen needed for charter Wednesday Au
Hey Jason, SORRY to hear that . I know the disappointment. I have been scheduled on a boat out of Westport Wa. and have driven down there only to have it canceled because of weather. Either way, it's a big letdown. Better luck next time, and thanks for the response.
Tight lines, and remember,
