Default Herring/Umpqua River

For those that like to gather there own bait the Umpqua Bay is full of BIG herring now. Guys were walking off the crabbing dock at Windy Bay this past weekend with 5 gallons buckets full and coming back for more. These babies are big.

Does anyone jig these from a boat, or is it a dock thing. Main river or in the marina. I might head down on Thurday.

that's good news! I didn't think they would show up this year as slow as it was.
Now how can we keep those alive for awhile to toss at some Tuners? How big is your Live boat tank?
Thanks for the report
