Re: Good Movies???
Action, Western, Drama, SciFi? Watching alone or with someone?
OK, go for Pirates of the Caribean with Johnny Depp - if you can find it.

Re: Good Movies???
We rented "Hostel" and "Wolf Creek"...both are movies from over seas, that will test your ability of what can happen in other countries.
Both are freakin down right FREAKY!!! blood, death, strange twists.....you have been warned!!!
I'd rate em 3 out of 5 stars

Rancho Deluxe, starring a young Jeff Bridges and Sam Waterston as modern day Montana rustlers, and Slim Pickens as the cattleman's association detective.
One of my all time favorite flicks!

Re: Good Movies???
I've seen them dozens of times and I have the DVD's, but Shawshank Redemption and Hunt for Red October still suck me in half the time I find them on tv.

Re: Good Movies???
Open Range, Tombstone, Slingblade, Radio, Coach Carter, to name a few.
Lately I have not been impressed with the movies coming out. I find myself renting the older ones or movies that have been out a while that have a decent plot.
I am more of a realist when it comes to movies.

Re: Good Movies???
1. Quigley down under (Tom Selleck with a Sharps rifle). Most excellent Australian western/love story ever made.
2. Hunt for Red October (Submarine movie with Sean Connery). I love submarine warfare with a twist.
3. Forever Young (Mel Gibson) time machine/cryogenic experiment/love story gone awry. Get your wife and a hanky.
4. Silverado (Every famous star imaginable)the most incredible consumate Western with a great plot. The best of the best.
More if you want.

Re: Good Movies???
I lean towards the comedies, so off the top of my head:
40 Year Old Virgin
Wedding Crashers
Austin Powers Goldmember
Caddyshack (of course)
Office Space (if you've EVER worked in a cubicle - a must see)
Southpark (The Movie, or anything pre Season 5)
Tin Men
Glen Garry Glen Ross (what can I say, I'm a sales guy!)
Other, not so funny choices:
Resevoir Dogs
Casino
Goodfellas
Godfather I and II
Road to Perdition
Saving Private Ryan
Murder in the First
I know I'll think of 10 more as soon as I submit this post...like Whistling Wings 6 or 7 (though you won't find THOSE at Blockbuster!).

Re: Good Movies???
Decide who you really like and look up what they've done in the past and check out some of the stuff you may not remember.
Robert DuVall(sp) and Kevin Spacey are on the top of my list so.
The Usual Suspects, and Lonesome Dove are good. Although I'm not really much of a movie fan. They all (almost all)have the same story book ending, good guy gets the girl and yada yada.
