Had the pleasure of meeting Ken today out at Kutch Archery for a little fine tuning of both the bow and the shooter
He started by paper tuning the bow and figured out in 30 seconds why I couldn't put the group together I wanted. After that I shot for about 20 minutes with suggestions here and there, then he had me switch to a special release. He says he only has 2 otherwise I would of bought one, but basically, they are designed to make you squeeze the release rather than jerk. I couldn't believe how hard it was to get a shot off. I definately have some practice to do.
Picked up a new release as my old one was too big, and left after shooting some nice groups. I need to go back and spend a couple hours getting out a little further, but I only had a couple hours today.
After going to every bow shop in town and always feeling like the last one to be picked for basketball, it was amazing what a difference his shop was. It was about an hour from my house in Beaverton, but well worth it...
I will definately be spending more money there, and the a new bow is in my future next year, (don't tell the wife).
