Default GPS on fishfinder

Okay here is my problem. I just bought a new Lowrance Fishfinder/Sonar/GPS. I got everything else working great but the GPS. I hooked it up like the books told me to but still said it couldnt find the GPS Module. I am sure someone out there has had the same problem as me. Please help. I have e-mailed Lowrance twice and called them but no response back yet. I need your help. Please!

Make sure the GPS antanna is plugged in all thwe way. Also I think when I hooked up my Lowance GPS I had to hook up the power wire for the network for it to work.

I just bought a new Lowrance several weeks ago and I recently installed the unit. I was missing a cable to complete the install of the GPS so I had to wait for a week to get the cable. I got the cable plugged in the GPS and nothing. I couldn't get the GPS to work. I did not have time to mess around with the GPS so I left it off for the time being. I do beleive you need to send power through the network wires for the GPS to work. I have not had time to finish the install but I will in the next couple of days. Let me know what you do to make it work. If I beat you to it I will let you know what I come up with.

I just finished the install of a lowrance 332c last week. Did you network yours with another unit? If not and it's a stand alone unit lkie mine here's a couple hints. Make sure you are wired into separate sources. ie different fuses, and make sure the fuses are hot all the time, not just in ign run. Make sure the resistor (supplied) is installed in the correct location, take a good second look at the wiring diagram. Thr resistor acts like a cork in the end of a water hose, without it the current , like water out of a hose goes nowhere. I hooked up all connectors on a bench before ever installing them in my boat and everything works perfect.Jack

That is true, I remember now. Make sure the tee and terminating plug are hooked up to the GPS module
