Garabaldi on saturday
I am thinking about heading down on saturday. Any thoughts on what would be best for salmon, flashers and hoochies if so what is the best. Or should we just stick to using hering.
I am a rookie at this.

Re: Garabaldi on saturday
I am a rookie also but I can not learn any younger. So I am too interested in the answers.
I have fished there with a friend and we used diver---flasher----plug cut herring. 15 to 22 pulls.
That was last year and we did pretty good. Limit and back to dock in 4 hours.

Re: Garabaldi on saturday
I'd try both, bait and dodgers/hootchies, If fish are really around and active, I personally like the dodger/hootchie, especially on silvers. Try 16-20 pulls around 140-180 feet of water. I'll be out sat. there also, so hopefully we both do well.

Re: Garabaldi on saturday
I'm barely a pup, so take this with a grain of salt, but I've always done well with just a diver and a Coyote (3.5" or 4" in chrome / blue or chartreuse).

5 cents are going salmon or Tuna?
Saturday as your aware I'm sure is closed to Salmon until August 11 rumor has it. At the same time Chinooks in the Salt is thought to go to 2.

Re: Garabaldi on saturday
Ah thats right... I forgot to consult my lawyer for the current regs! So I guess its Tilly Saturday if everything lines up right... plus you always have a fall back if the ocean is bad with Nehalem Bay... things should turn on there sooner or later you would think!
Thanks
