Default Help with Port Orford launch conditions

We are thinking about towing to Port Orford to chase tuna. I have a 2301 Seaswirl w/ Alaska pkg. Can anyone give details about the new lauch facilities at Port Orford.
Thank You

Do you mean the hoist/sling? Do you have ropes to hook to a sling? Or do you need to use the sport sling? I think that the sling has 10' of clearance from the bottom of your boat to the top of the support for the sling. In other words you will need 10' of clearance to drive back onto the sling in order to take out. It is $20 to put in/take out, if you don't have your own ropes. Or you could call the Harbor Master in Port Orford (sorry I don't have the number with me).

They will not lift a boat with their straps that is longer than 22 feet. That info is from the crane operator two weeks ago. We had eyes installed on my 28' this year and it works great. It does not look to bad but will kill your re-sale if it is not a true fishing boat. I can post the hoist number or the harbor master (Gary Anderson) on wednesday if you would like it.
