Default Nestucca never fished it

Would like some info on the Nestucca river I have most of the next week off and would like to do some Steelhead fishing on this river. What and where are the put inns? What would be the better runs to drift I have about 10 years EXP. In a drift boat and have ran a lot of rivers in that old Ray’s Wood Drift Boat. But she is getting a little tired and wont take the betting she use to. As it is I will still run the whole length of the Wilson and a good part of the Santiam rivers to name a few.

Not looking for anyone's secret spot just some good runs of water I'll find the spots to fish

Any help is much appreciated.

Well, I don't have a drift boat, so I can't really speak from personal experience, but there is a boat ramp at Farmer Creek, but it has some flood damage. I don't know if you would still be able to use it. There is also a boat landing down river from there at the mouth of Three Rivers, just below the mouth. "Fishing In Oregon" lists several good holes and drifts between the two landings, and some friends have told me it's good water. There is also a boat landing in Cloverdale, but I'm not sure where it's at. There are also a couple of landings in Woods and Pacific City.

Alwyze, Idon't know about the condition of the ramp at Farmer Creek (aka wayside),as far as I know it's usable. I've run a few trips on this river and thats where I'd start. Take out at Three Rivers, or if you want to see a lot of water, Cloverdale. There's a lot of good water for just about whatever technique you choose. There is no technicle water on this stretch of river. Trust me, if you have rowed the boulder strewn North Santiam at summer flows this is a snap. For more info on shuttles, launch and take-out see Ron Byrd at Nestucca Valley Sporting Goods in Hebo. ...

I would recommend the lower end from three rivers on down. Expect a crowd. The aluminum hatch is in full bloom. Plenty of fish though they can be tight lipped. Lots of good plug water, some very good drift fishing water. Good luck and tight lines.
