Headed out at 6am(with Zeke, Steve(fish&b8), & Andy(Salmon Virgin)) in hope's of getting some Silver Bullet's, Heard there was a good bite off Seal Rock's, so we decided to drop the Crab Trap's South as well, the FOG made it a little tough...espically with a compass stuck in one place(I mounted my external speaker too close, & the speaker magnet was too strong)OPS! Oh well dropped the crab traps in 60' of water about 3 miles south, & headed twards the area where Kismet had got them the previous day, found a good temp break where the water was about 51 deg. on my guage(others had a slightly different reading) Trolled around in circles, but nothing, heard Wak'em was getting them a little further west so we trolled that way, picked up 1 one the way(Andy, Salmon Virgin no more)...finally found the hot spot aprox 28/13, reported the hot bite to Kismet they showed up, & other's as well, we picked up 4 more in the next hour(meanwhile Wak'em was headind in with his 6 fish) we couldn't get anymore for close to 2 hour's, but got our last 3 between 12, & 1, & headed in with 4 limit's. Most others were reporting good #'s of Silver Bullet's as well. The crab spot was not a good choice for us only 1 crab. So there you have it, Ok these Silver Bullet's were Salmon, not TUNA, but a good day anyway.
Now the bad new's, :depressed: while we were out fishing My wife(Charlotte) totaled Zeke's Explored(rear ended a full size truck) Everybody is ok, altho still upset from the ordeal. The Newport Police gave Charlotte a $460 careless driving ticket, & The tow company charged $180 to tow the rig to the end of the road by the boat ramp where we could work on it.

We found about it while picking up our Crab Traps, Ken(Crazyfish) radioed us just as we were picking up our last Crab Trap, oh well we were determined to not let this ruin a great day, so after a quick survey of the dammage, we Cleaned our fish, & boat, & then joined the party.

Was great to finally meet some of the Salty Dog's I've chatted with on line. Zeke had to work on Sunday so we made an attempt to repair the rig, but probable waited too long, as part's store's, & tow dolly rental places were closed by then. oh well back to the party & the 7pm Raffel celebration's. Contiuned to party(or drown my sorrow's) for a few more hours before passing out, but actually woke up at 5:30 for another Salmon run Sunday, but the bar was restricted to 26', this was a good thing, went back to sleep & slept til 9:30, when I woke up Zeke had wired around the Fuel relay, as I suggested, & got the rig running, but the Radiator was shot, Napa had 1 for $157, & it didn't take long to swap out, filled it up with water, started her up, the radiator was fine, but the water pump was not, back out with the radiator, & the water pump, Napa had one for $67, shouldn't take long...wrong! the fan aparently was jammed on the water pump assembly from the accident, & it took 2 to 3 hour's to break it loose, we had to drill a 3/8" hole in the Pulley, & a long round pry bar to finally gain enough leverage to break it loose(Thanks Napa for letting us use your shop) didn't take long to install the waterpunp, & radiator, rerouted the Tranny cooler hoses back to original...cause it was leaking also, a few adjustment's, & fastening of loose part's, & they were on their way home about 5pm, with Crazyfish as wingman. They made it home fine, but was greeted with more bad new's, his dog had somehow opened the fridge, & freezer while he was gone, & most food was ruined, ouch! what an expensive weekend. A special thanks to Ken, Kurt, Rick , & all that offered help! The SALTY DOG'S are AWESOME!
