Default 2nd Year Aluminum Brightening

Hey folks, anyone know how best to brighten the hull on an aluminum boat? My father-in-law and I Sharkhided his NR last year and it stayed beautiful all season. Unfortunately, we burped some gas last year and it stripped the shark hide in a few places. These areas are now a little dull due to (I assume) oxidation.

What can we do to brighten the dull spots before applying another coat of shark hide?

Commercial buffer with new foam pad and some super duty rubbing compound from your local auto paint shop will do the trick nicely! Aluminum will look like new

if you're just looking to "brighten" aluminum and not "shine" it, Napa has a spray for mag type truck wheels that really does the trick (removes oxidation).

Good tip! I'll have to try it!
