Default What a HOT SUNDAY

Don't really know how hot it got over here, 100??? we took off early and headed up to Wickieup to get out of town and the heat.
It was a fine day up there, not a cloud in the sky, we took a basket of goodies, a beer or 3, and after maybe a hour, I asked my loving wife, did you pack my swim suite?? she looked at me and said, I thought you grabbed them, the next thing she said was, what in the heck are you doing, as I walked down to the water in my birthday suite, I turned to her and said, I'm Nature Boy today.
Where we were, there was not a sole around, a place we found about 16 years ago, nice breeze, all over tan, than the thunder clouds came in, and we even saw a lighting strike, we headed home, it's hot back in town.

85 at my house in Bandon.

The hottest it has been since I moved here in 98. We are really enjoying it! We have had very warm evenings which is rare for us. Usually windy and cold in July!

We went to the beach which is less than 3 miles from home and it was cold and foggggggy!! We only stayed about 20 minutes.

Even though the temp was higher today, it wasn't as nasty as yesterday. Saturday the temp was 88 and the humidity was 68%! Almost unheard of around Sandy

The truck thermometer said 97 when I started for Aloha about 7:30 this evening and climbed to 102 in Aloha, back to Hillsboro and it was 94?? Maybe the ocean air is starting to creep in.

I hold a unique distinction. Of the 6 Billion or so humans alive on the earth, I hate heat and hot days more than anyone else. (How's that for an honor!!)

Anyhow, just west of St Vincent's Hospital, in the low hills, this is the third day in a row over 100 degrees. It is hot, humid, buggy, and generally awful. (Do I sound like I'm complaining?) And if I hear one more person say, "Oh what a lovely day", they had better stand back; I am not going to be responsible for my reaction!

I have a digital on one of my back windows here in Hillsboro. When they said we hit a record on Friday of 108 that was the max for my temp gage. When I look at 5:38 it was still 101!!

What a beautiful day it was. High 70s and a nice breeze. Stronger breeze and much cooler on the beach. Some in bathing suits because of the clear sky and bright sunshine but most in sweatshirts and loving it.

Barview Jetty campground was very nice the last 4 days. Lovely is all I can say.

A bit warm when I got home tonight.

When i left the house this morning at 10:00 it was 95. At 12:30 it was 103. The high for the day was 109. Pretty much hibernated inside all day after spending yesterday on the columbia playing.

101 in SE PDX. It was a real shock to drive from the coast where it was 60 degrees and foggy to come over the hill and have it be 91 degrees and rising.

Got home at 11:30am yesterday and headed for the basement of my AC home. Chilly down there. Burrrrrrrrr..... I did not even go back outside yesterday. Just watched the tour de France and some movies. Got in a nice little nap too.

Cold spell today of 91.
