We have a lot of older or retired fisherman that either don't have buddies to go fishing with anymore or can't take themselves anymore because of handicaps or other younger people with handicaps whom can't drive a boat or get to a fishing hole. Have the Ifishers thought about putting together a handicap fund so that we could pay a fishing guide(s) to pick up and take handicapped or retired fisherman out on fishing trips. Kind of like the "make a wish foundation". Perhaps it might be good if we put together a handicap accessible boat for wheelchair patients to get in and out of and use this boat to take out retired or group home fisherman in. If enough people are interested, please tell your friends or contact me at
Creatistic3@yahoo.com and I would be happy to put something like this together. When I was younger, I worked in a nursing home for awhile and organized a fishing trip for the residents there to the Minto Brown Island Park area in Salem, we only caught blue gills but it was a fun outing none the less.
