Default Newport Bar Sun Morning?

Hi guys,

Been going back and fourth rather I want to go out tomorrow morning for a early salmon run. Been listening to NOAA and looking at webcam shots of the coast. Tides seem to be on my side...What are your guys thoughts? I have a 21 foot alumaweld sled with a bow cover. Anyone else going out tomorrow? Thanks...

Kyle

8 foot swell at 9 seconds
Man, I thought I was hardcore with my 21' beer can with a deep V hull.

Even without the wind chop that's a bit out of my fun zone. Good luck and have fun.

There will be much better days. The swell was really picking up as the day went on. Good day to stay in the Bay.

Saturdays swell and wind chop forced us off the water at about 1000. I couldn't even imagine being out there today in my lil' boat.

Salty Walty and others, thanks for the radio chat yesterday and helping steer us into a couple of fish. As always, Chan 78 was full of folks helping each other yesterday!

Well, maybe if your name is Ahab, and you chase a white whale.

Hi Guys,

Thanks for the posts. I went to Green Peter instead and took the family and friends wakeboarding, tubing, and swimming. With your help I beleive I made the right choice. Thanks again...

Good choice Kyle because when I left at 12:00 Bar was still closed to 26 or less and after Jigging up a five gallon bucket of herring gave it up and went and cleaned boat, we took one stab at it, boat big enough but with the pea soop and 8 to 9 footers didn't break the jaws.....Ray
