Default Sandy River Report

Fished the lower Sandy River a couple of hours this morning. River was up and off color (had come up over Saturday night - by the looks of the gauge, about 1.5 feet). Was fishable - visibility was better than 2 feet. I tried plunking. Did not see anything caught nor did I do any good. No sandshrimp within miles. Rumour was that a 15 lb plus wild fish was caught and released Saturday afternoon just before the river started to come up.

River appears to be dropping. Should be good tomorrow. Let me know.

I went out for a few hours up at Oxbow on Sat. morning and caught two hatchery fish and lost another! All on corky and eggs drift fishing. There was a guy above me that had a fish too. The level and color was perfect. Today should be good along the coast eh? Wish I was there........
