Saturday the 22nd
Planning the first trip of the year for tuna for myself and crew. Will be headed out of Depoe on the 22nd, weather permitting.
Sounds like the valley will be a blazing with heat which usually means fog for the coast.
Leaving at daybreak or close to it headed to 61 spot or good temp break.
All dependent on weather of course. Look forward to some company and chatter.
See ya on the big pond.

Re: Saturday the 22nd
I look forward to fishing with all those who venture. I must admit I have not been paying close enough attention to this tournement I keep hearing about. Is it most fish or biggest fish? and does the money go to charity or more gear for the winner?
The more the better to help coral the big eye broncos.
Finally got some lettering on my boat stop by say hi. Watch out for father he's a little grumpy in the morning but like a kid in a candy store when it comes to tuna trips.
Tight lines and lets all respect eachothers space to the best of our ability.

Re: Saturday the 22nd
Prizes for the most fish, second most fish, & third most fish, & prizes for exotic's like Bluefin Tuna, & Yellowtail Jacks, & also a winner take all pot for biggest fish(50$ to enter) We have a 6am shotgun start time...so that should give you guy's a little time to exit before the traffic jam.
So is your boat named SamBen? What length, & brand is your boat?

Re: Saturday the 22nd
Yes the boat is named SamBen
Samuel for my Great grandfather and Benjamin for my Grandfather SamBen, also my two boys Samuel and Benjamin.
2352 trophy with hard top, walk around. white with teal pin strip almost green.
Thank you for the heads up on the time you start. I will make sure to have launched by about 5.00 am to avoid your wake.
Hopefully I can give you a call and let you know what i find. Usually I average about 18 mph going out sometimes on calm days low 20's. Last time I looked it was 4 on 4 hope that doesnt stick.
Hand lines are rigged 1 daisy chain short, 2 meat lines 80-100 ft with zucchini and blk/purp, 2 poles with cedar plug purp and the other side will be pink and white. If I get into them I will switch the poles to hand lines as well about 120 ft.
Colors sound about right until I find the hot one?
