Default Here we go again (N Wind)

Well now that the wind started blowing again, the green / blue water transition has moved out a good 7 - 8 miles (~ 36 NM off Depoe), and the inside water has cooled about 4 degrees F on average. You guys that got them fish in close timed it just right

The ride to tuna-ville will probably be a little longer next time we get out...

But a little blow like this can actually help by making a real sharp (temp) edge...so just roll with it.

Like it or not, complaining won't change the conditions anyway, so why bother? Rolling with it seems the easiest way to deal with it, though the next time I go out for tuna I hope the pond will be flat enough my boat isn't doing much rolling!!! I'm well aware hoping doesn't change what will be either!!!

The last thing he said was "roll with it" doesn't seem like much of a complaint. Go get some sleep and enjoy your next ride out...............................................

This morning's forecast still shows 10 to 15 kts wind's at Stonewall Fri, let's hope this hold's true. Sat? With expected Valley temperatures in the upper 90's or even 100+ the only saving grace would be for the High Pressure System to set up North, & East, say N. Idaho, this could cause a East wind near shore...slowing the heat created Vacuum.

Saturday is a long ways off. Get some work done and the fishing will happen. Maybe just further off shore. Keep your fingers crossed.

Here is a positive note. While it is a 102 here in PDX and the valley we will enjoy the nice cooler temps and ocean breezes.

I wasn't complaining, and I don't think Ron took it that way. He knows I'm an eternal optomist

I am merely stating the facts, and sharing info of how the temps and color are changing, esp. for those who do not get a certain subscription service.

We roll they way we roll.

I not sure Mark's comments were directed as a complaint but more to inform the un-initiated about operational effects of Northly winds as they pertain to tuna fishing out of central Oregon coast.

Thanks Dr. Mark for sharing information. I for one enjoy reading your posts. I realize it is hard to believe but there a many Ifishers out there that know more than me about certain subjects and I learn from them all the time. For that I am thankful.

No, I didn't think Mark was complaining! I was agreeing with him that we had to roll with it and saying it wouldn't do us any good to complain anyway. The last free SST already shows we'll have to go farther than folks were going Sat. On the positive side, it might help a little with the salmon as long as the water doesn't get too cold.
