Yes, you bet. As long as we don't get an "early winter" shifting south of the jet stream. September is often the best month of the year for tuna up here. Since you'll be in Tacoma, you might think about jumping on a charter boat out of Westport WA for a live bait trip.

Thanks for the good news Mark MC! I have a question I'm not a big fan of charter boats and the few small boats that I've checked are all booked up or I could not contact the captian. If I were to offer to pay for gas to a private boat owner do you think they would take me and my brother out for a couple of days of fishing? I have my own trolling sticks, live bait sticks, handlines, as well as a large variety of trolling lures. True most of my lures are for Bluefin and Yellowfin, but they should work for Albies. If you know anyone I can contact please pass along their names.

Thanks for your help

Welcome aboard! Yep! September can be as productive as any month, the only problem for me is It's also Bow Hunting season.

To get a "ride" with someone you need to get your name out there, maybe P.M. a few., Sound's like you have Tuna fishing experience, & gear..so this will help.

You know "Ahi Assissin" It's traditional for "newbie's" to tell a story about their fishing experience, i.e. year's experience, type of boat(s) used, where they fished...ect.
