Default Anyone ever try fishbags?

Anyone ever try one of these?

I'm looking for the best way of storing TUNA! on my little arima and I figure one of these might fit nicely in the cuddy.

Thanks!

They work great. We use them on Crazyfish. The ice lasts allday....even with fish in them!

Reliable make nice ones that range in size 28x48 up to 30x90in. All come with drain spot, 1/2in water proof insulation and UV/Mildew resistant stitching.

Big Tuna Marine Sells them as does West Marine and Charkbait.

Sure saves a lot of room not having a cooler in the cockpit and they will keep fish long time with reasonable ice. Plus they hold football shaped fish a lot better than square-side cooler or fish boxes.

How many tuners you think would fit in this big-boy??

I have a 22' boat. I just bought 4 for the tournament. I am not going to loose because of fish storage limitations. It's OK to loose if I don't catch fish, but you won't hear the excuse "I didn't have the storage space" from me.

Griff, I'm there with you on cockpit space. Here's a picture of my canyon bag. I put snaps on the handles and transome. I put two 33" halibut in there with a bag of ice and would have room for more. I bought it with salmon in mind. The bag is 20" tall x 60" long. The material they use is very tough and should hold up real well.

They don't. I ordered mine from Bass Pro. I'm sure they would carry them if asked. Also, Bud at BigTunaMarine sells them!

I just can't beleive the money they get for them. Wow they are $pendy!

Thanks for the feed back guys. Looks like I'm going to have to get one.

Hey Flapbreaker,
How many tuna do you figure will fit in the 20"X60"? I was thinking about that exact bag.

Thanks again!

You can get 10-12 20#'s in a 28x48 with ice. They can be lifted by the corner straps as well.

We have a couple of 28x48's and a couple of 30x60's coming in Tuesday.

Reliable bags are more money...but like most things in life...you get what you pay for.

I wish I new. I have yet to do the Tuna thing. I'm guessing 6-10 depending on the size of fish. Maybe more than that but not much more. Other than the two halibut I've yet to put anything else in it.

I was worried that these things weren't very sturdy until mine arrived in the mail. They are made very sturdy and seem to be very durable.

I have one in my boat. Like it. It doesn't take up that much room for its size. It stows inside the hard coolers when not needed. I can hang it off the swim platform using the tie down hooks on my transom. Keeps ice and with that integrated drain it's a nice addition.

Bud if you have one extra 28 x 48 I would take it. It is a Reliable right? If not maybe next time.

We got a Canyon, used it toward the end of May, discovered there was about a 6" slot in the seam by the valve that wasn't sealed (QC issue) -- been waiting ever since for the manufacturer to replace it...told us it shipped the 21st of June...hope it's here in time for the salmon!
