CR Killer Whales

Went salmon fishing off CR today. Got the limit, but it took a long time. Fished south with very few other boats out. Slow fishing, but a beautiful day on the water. Wondering if salmon are north right now instead of south toward Seaside because I didn't see any charters from the Spark Plug South.

The highlight of the day was the most amazing display of acrobatics by two Killer Whales. They were slapping their tails, jumping way out of the waters and just going nuts. I think they were feeding. There were some purse seiners not too far away and I saw spotter plane working the area. Those whales really put an incredible display of power and grace. I've never seen anything like it on the ocean.

Cool! Thanks for the report. As far as the salmon go, its pretty slow everywhere as far as the reports I've read.

Glad to hear you got into the salmon. Orcas are way cool to watch out there. Sardines must have moved in a bit as they were 15 miles off shore a few days ago.

maybe the Whales were feeding on the seals/sea lions! I think the salmon are north.
