Tough Guys and Just Cause at Frenchman's Bar

Bet that topic heading spiked some curiosity. No fights on the river to tell about

. Sorry. Actually, I fished with Jerry Shipe and Bill Heater and friend Stan in Bill's infamous Slutgoddess inboard V-sled with canvas top and everything else. While we anchored for sturgeon fishing near Frenchman's Bar, Bill hooked up the heater inside the tentlike canvas cabin and set up a small TV with built-in VCR and ran a couple of videos to watch while we fished. Swanky! He played a short TV recording of the championship fight of the "Tough Guy" competition and then the movie "Just Cause" (a really good one with Sean Conery). I think it caused us to miss several bites while watching the action parts

. We did manage to land one keeper close to 46" and released several that measured just under 42". We had fun with lots of shakers too. And also caught some small sturgeon to release

hehe.

Was a great day on the Columbia with R.T. and Jerry And Stan the Sturgeon Man Schoenheinz. Next time we take Jerry I will bring some oil and my frying pan so we can put that squid to some good use. Really enjoyed meeting another Ifisher...Jerry is a class act and another Great guide I would highly reccommend for fishing in this area!
R.T. was on his best behavier and only sucked down donuts while we were out fighting fish and could not see him.

Ok, I'll admit to a portable 5 inch B/w tv, but a VCR and movies?!?!?!

Man you guys are livin!

The top and heater make all the differance especially for the wife and kids.

I feel for those in open boats when it's blowin' and rainin'.
