Default Surface Temp

Is there a website that one can look at a detailed enough surface temp map to figure waypoints that isnt a pay service?

I look at this one and like what I see but its not detailed enough.

Well I found this one and it is pretty good/maybe the best for free. Is there others?

Like Orca said, "Coastwatch".

Once you learn all the features on that website you can find all SST and Chlorophyll info of the latest available dates and times. Then learn to use the FREE CoastWatch hdf viewer program (Latest version is 3.2.0) and you can get the details you want. Latitude, Longitude and Distance to exact spots.

Just takes a little bit of a learning curve and you are on your way.

Remember this in your search: Temperature is important, but for tuna, BLUE WATER is an equal if not more important.

Leave it on custom

enter in long/lat/zoom (45.0) lat (-125) long. factor (3)

remove check from cloud mask then replot.

This should get you started on how it works.

Right now there are not very good pictures due to cloud cover.
