Default Salmon Trout Steelheader Mag?

I was wondering if somebody might have the October-November issue of STS laying around. If so, could you check something real quick for me? I subscribed with a subscription card from that issue, and I'm pretty sure that it said Two Years of STS and Flyfishing Journal (24 issues) for $49.95. The publisher is saying I only paid for 16 issues. I could be wrong though.

This was a yellow envelope type insert in the OCT-NOV issue, in later issue the price went up to $59.95. If you could tell me the number of issues indicated in parenthesis for the 2 year combo subscription, I would much appreciate it.

2 years 49.95. But no ()'s with that particular price.Up above that though it's 6 per yr.- sts, and 4 per yr.- ftj.

The confusion your having with them is likely because of the number of issues. Your going to get 2 years worth but it's not 24 issues. It's 12 in the case of STS (6 per year) and 8 for the Fly mag (4 per year).

Okay here goes...

Two year combo of STS (6 issues annually) and Flyfishing & Tying Journal (4 issues annually)... is $49.95

So the total as listed is actually 20 issues combined for $49.95.

I believe the increase in subscription cost is due the fact that STS is going to 8 issues annually this year. That would make the new cost for a total fo 24 issues (16 STS and 8 Flyfishing) $59.95.

Right

I am aware of the increase in issues, and other factors. My own confusion comes from the fact that the November issue had an article (page 4) about the increase in publication frequency, as well as flyer for a 2 year combo subscription for $49.95. After receiving my subscription, STS has shorted me 4 issues based on a price increase. I can see all sides, but if I buy a 2 year subscription at the advertised price, and the price then goes up, it does not seem entirely fair that they arbitrarily give me a 1.5 year subscription.

I just wanted to know what the flyer I sent in said exactly. It sounds like it just said 2 years, independent of the # of issues.

Sorry to bother you all with this.

Blade...unfortunately, both flyers spell out how many issues you are subscribing to. But, it also says two years. So you do have some room to move, but it may be easier to just cough up the extra $10 for 4 more issues of STS.
