Default "Chicken Soup for the Fisherman's Soul", up coming book

Greetings talented ifish members. I am sure many of you are familiar with the Chicken Soup books, I have almost all of them. They are heartfelt and heartwarming and have gotten me through some tough times. They are gathering stories for their next book which is by and for fisherman.

The description of the stories they are looking for is as follows: "The mission of Chicken Soup for the Fisherman's Soul is, through the experiences of fishing enthusiasts, to develop and strengthen the ties that bind families and friends by illustrating the magic of fishing to foster lifelong memories and personal relationships, as well as to engender respect of nature's power, beauty and fragility -- one story at a time."

Here is your chance to show off your writing skills. You could choose to write about anyone of the topics they are looking for. One idea is to write about a neophyte friend you take fishing one day and how that changed their life.

Check out their web page at: www.fishsoul.com Good luck and tight lines. RW

Great subject, You know...I have taken several people fishing as a gesture of giving to those that do not get to do much fishing. Every year our club...White Water Boaters of Oregon...does several trips with groups like the disabled Vets, and Kids from a blind school and kids that are refered by the Sherriff's department. I just feel good being there and doing that and that is enough.....But it would be nice to have some follow up from them as to what the impact was beyond that one day that I know they really enjoyed and told us so.
It would be nice to know that we made a small difference. I think we did.

Bill, after you took out our crew of bite detection challenged guys today (well, when we couldn't take our eyes off the in-boat movie anyway), I can say that I'm better off for the fun experience with good friends. Thanks again. ... Nice idea here Kim! - Steve

Steve...That really helps knowing I made a difference with your life....Was it the movie.... or the the smoked fish that Stan brought? or the great peperoni that Jerry brough?
Or maybe that little fish you landed?
Had to be one of those...because we forgot the blow up dolls!!!
