Default Handy hints

For those of you who need to get rid of fishy smells, or ANY smells in cooler bins, fridges, freezers even clothing... Wipe them with a damp cloth with Vanilla Essence on it! It does a wonderful job, and leaves it smelling nice, we have proven that vanilla essence does not deter the fish either!
Another idea is one simular to one by Smiles4U, using a video tape box to store jigs.(which we didn't have!) We used an empty *Huggies* diaper wipe box (the blue one) with a piece of styrofoam stuck inside. We used the vanilla essence to rid it of the diaper wipes smell, and it works great! even fits inside your fanny pack

I stand corrected by Fuzzybutt! Its Vanilla Extract (which you will find in the baking section at your local supermarket) not Essence. I'm from New Zealand, and haven't fully grasped the different meanings, or spellings for the same words we use back home.
I won't even try to explain what we call a fanny in NZ!!! (you'd die laughing!)

Fuzzy is right Angel. Some fishers use a small dab of vanilla extract on lures or bait as they would anise oil, and catch fish. .... OK, what does fanny mean over in NZ? Don't leave us hanging. - RT
