Default Kind of shrimp

I have heard mentioned here using live sand shrimp and prawns. Has anyone tried boiled shrimp? I have caught fish on it and was wondering if anyone else has tried it and how it compares to these other baits. I don't fish a lot with bait so I am curious to see if I am wasting my time with boiled shrimp.

Thanks for any input.

Most prawns are boiled shrimp (not sandshrimp). They work pretty well, especially when cured pink. Or are you refering to small cooked cocktail shrimp? They work for steelies too. - RT
