Default My Favorite Egg Cure........GONE!!!!!!

Do any of you know of a cure called Cure-All? This paticular cure was made by a company in Astoria,OR that went by the name Kendaco Mfg. I used to buy it at my local Bi-Mart store. They said they no longer carry it, so I called the Bi-Mart buyer at the main headquaters to see if they could track it down for me. I left two messages for them to call me and never got a reply. I was hoping that someone might know where I might find some of this cure. I have used this stuff for the past ten years and cant find a cure that even comes close to producing the bites I get. Oh, I have tried the other cures and theres alot of them out there but, this one works best for me!

I believe that the company either quit business or sold there business. I had a friend try to by some of the egg dye this fall. He talked to (who he believed to be) the owner of the company by calling the phone number on the packaging and was told that cure-all products were no longer available.

Fishhead- yeah, I know the company and used the stuff for quite a few years. No longer around. Best replacement I found is the recipe I use that I shared somewhere before on 'the board'. Buy a box of 99.99% borax at the grocery store. Mix it about 2/3 borax and 1/3 brown sugar. Remove the eggs from the fish (forgot what they look like!) and lay them out to drain on a pan or screen. Salt them down good with non-iodized salt, both sides. This will cure them and toughen them up. Cover them with the mixture. Let stand in a cool spot for 12 hours or so. When they are "cured" they will feel sticky to the touch. Cut them into bait sized pieces and roll in more of the borax/sugar mixture and plop into a container. I use butter containers since my wife seems to like to collect them. Put a layer of eggs and a layer of the borax/sugar and continue until the container is full. Top off with a layer of borax/sugar, put the lid on and freeze. The eggs will last up to 3 years in the freezer this way and I haven't found any cure better. As for the cure from Bi-Mart, it's sadly gone. Don't think it was any better, just fast and easy.
