Hello
I will be in Newport for my 30th Birthday from August 4th-11th and want to go salty for the first time. I will be leaving my SeaSport at home do to my lack of experience of the Sea. I am looking for some advice on charters in Newport. I am willing to pay for an open seat also. Looking to fish for Halibut Salmon and maybe even some Tuna.

When I have gone out on charter I have always came home with a limit with Tradewinds 800-445-8730. They are willing to make sure everyone catches fish, and are willing move around to find the fish.
Many say the Blitz is the way to go...my friends went out on her and were very happy. We had a long boat ride on the Miss Raven last year and the crew (after the captain slept down below all the way out) seemed to not be too concerned about getting us into fish. Just my .02.
