Pacific City Weekend Report

[Doryfisher]

Good surf and semi decent ocean all weekend, the drift was rotten yesterday. Fished 4 days. Coho at 260ft out from the rock. Caught two halibut 42"/38" in close off hang glider with shad as the reef transitions to sandy bottom. Plus a nice chinook in the same area. Ling cod limits everyday, one was 29lbs. All in all a great weekend. Nice to see just about the whole fleet out.

What temp did you catch the coho? I'll be out on Friday morning; maybe Thursday night if all looks ok! I just focused on the bottom fish and lings this past weekend and had a blast. I'm ready for a salmon fix!

The coho were caught in 49 - 51 water. It was a matter of finding a rip that was the key more than temperature this weekend.
