Frogg Togg question...
Does anyone have a line of where to get these at a good price? Or are they pretty much the same price no matter where you buy them? In which case....where to buy them? Does anyone think they will be at the sportmans show?

Re: Frogg Togg question...
I'm not sure of the specific place, but I know there are a few golf courses that sell them in their pro shops. If I remember any specific ones I'll let ya know. Also, if I remember correctly, the prices were the same as the individual retailers that would sell them from their homes. Go to their website.

Re: Frogg Togg question...
I checked around a little. The prices were all about the same here locally at the retailers and on the internet through Cabela's and a couple of golf outlets. Have yet to see them on sale.

Re: Frogg Togg question...
In past years there has been a dealer from Woodland, Washington at the Sportsman Show who has very good prices.

Re: Frogg Togg question...
I probably shouldn't admit this but while at the sportsman show I grabbed the sleeve and in front of another individual said "I wonder how strong this stuff is" and popped the sleeve twice and nearly tore the sleeve in half. The guy and I busted out laughing at how easy these things tore. They are waterproof but come apart easily.

Yes Kodiakfisher is right
They are not the most durable weather resistant clothing on the market.

They sure pack up nice to put stow away for that sunny, rainy day.

Re: Frogg Togg question...
But then again, I've had mine for three years, and so has Bill. Through black berries, caught on stuff in the boat... not a hole in them, yet.
I suppose if you jerked on it, it might rip, but... I don't jerk my clothes. I have caught them on a branch, though. Still good.

Re: Frogg Togg question...
Bought my froggy clothes from the manufacturer on the internet. They are perfect for ultralight packing and keep me warm and dry. I have worn them without a problem through the blackberry patch--like them lots. E2

Re: Frogg Togg question...
are these things pretty much waterproof or are they more like water "resistant"?

Re: Frogg Togg question...
Mine are 3 years old and have seen some rough treatment. Is there heavier, stronger rain gear out there? Yes, but for that stow away capability and keeping you dry when that rain cloud comes by they can't be beat (IMHO).

Re: Frogg Togg question...
I bought my frog toggs at the Sportsmans show 3 years ago. Still in good condition. Every time I have taken them off the clothes underneath have always been dry.
Stan Fagerstrom wrote an article about Frogg Toggs a while back. Very interesting.

Re: Frogg Togg question...
I saw them at Fishermans in O.C. a while back, and the price was about what you see everywhere else.

Re: Frogg Togg question...
If you've got an order going their way, this is cheapest that I've found: <at bass pro shop> ... sorry, URLs to non-sponsor businesses not permitted.

Re: Frogg Togg question...
If they are only $60 dollars for a set then that wouldn't be too bad.
When I was looking at them at the sportman show they were about $60 just for one piece. If you are looking for something to walk through the woods in and not worry about your rain protection comming apart you might consider something else. Any gortex or omi-tech type jacket will last much longer than these. It appears the trade off will be size and packability for durability.
I am actually going to look into these as an emergency rain suit for bow season $30 why not. If your willing to be careful then I'm sure they are just fine. When I'm hunting I like to worry about hunting not every snag and thorn. I am also notorious for being tough on gear.
