Anybody that fished the Tillamook area rivers willing to give up an accurate report? I'm gonna play hooky tomorrow and am looking for some fish.

Default Re: Tillamook area rivers

I fished the Wilson this AM. Caught a 12# summer steelhead just before 8:00am. First Steelhead I have ever caught on that river and I have not fished the wilson in 6 or so years! Only the second time I have used a bobber and jig, the first time being last Sunday. What a cool way to fish.
Edit: Marie's shrimp scent helped also.

I did talk to one other guy and he said it was pretty slow. Water is VERY clear.

Good luck!
