Default 4 year old limits out

For the past couple months my 4 year old daughter has been reminding me "Daddy , You know I like to go fishing!!!" So this afternoon I took her over to the lower Wilson river. We fished a hole and I got my limit of steelhead so I decided to run up to the store and get her a tag. We went back down and I helped her cast and set the hook and then grabbed the video camera. She landed both fish all by her self. All I had to do is net the fish for her. What a great feeling looking through the viewfinder and coaching her along!!!!! She was so excited that she couldnt wait to go home and show Mommy that she caught "Big fish just like Daddy!!!" To boot, both of her fish were bigger than mine, one of hers had sea lice all over it!!!WOW I highly recommend taking the little ones out fishing when the weather is cooperating! It is even better watching them struggle and fight the metalhead on the other end of the line who doesn't want anything to do with the two of you than any fish you will ever catch!!!!!! I now will always have a fishing partner and from her record a lot of competition Good luck to all and be safe out there.-John

That's really cool John. Age 4 is when I caught my first few fish, little trout out of NW Montana's Flathead Lake. I've been fishing ever since and I bet so will your daughter. Her first limit was many more times as big as mine, so I hope she didn't get spoiled. And John is a fishing magician so look out in a few years; she might be the youngest river guide down there. After she watched all those driftboats go by I wonder if she asks you for a boat ride next? - Steve

I want a little fishing girl too!
Where do you rent one?
I always wanted a little girl, so that I could do her hair up, and stuff like that. How lucky to have one that fishes too! WOW!

For the last 20 years we have taken our daughter every where with us, canoeing, kayaking, rafting, hiking, fishing, camping, and she still loves it.

Its the best thing you can give your children. Everlasting memories of fun and adventure.

Her latest coment was " I miss the fishing scene". She in college now attending the UNM , University of New Mexico. Studying Sports Nutrition. She also swims for the UNM Swim Team. Shes been swimming comptetivly since the age of 10. This is her second year in college and doing well.

She just broke her record yesterday in the 50 FREE, a 23:05 WOW! Best Time EVER!

Hope she comes home for Christmas so we can take her fishing for that 40 pounder, theres still time.

Well, thanks for listening anyway and
remember to take your children fishing soon.
Make a memory happen.
And take tons of pictures!

Captain & Marie & Myra too!
